Abstract:

To provide alumina fine particles for toner external additive, having excellent frictional charging stability and photoreceptor charging stability, and preventing toner supply regulation passing failure, sealing scattering on toner supply, toner supply fogging and photoreceptor memory, and to provide toner, an image forming method and an image forming apparatus.

The alumina fine particles for toner external additive are crystalline using γ-alumina phase as main phase and including at least a small quantity of α-alumina phase and spherical. The BET specific surface area thereof is 20 m2/g-80 m2/g. In the toner, the alumina fine particles are externally added. The image forming method and the image forming apparatus use the obtained toner.
