To provide a method for recovering gallium from a process liquid containing copper and gallium.
The method for recovering gallium includes steps of: providing a liquid membrane disposed on a pore support material; providing a dispersion back extraction liquid containing an aqueous phase back extraction liquid to be dispersed in an organic solution containing an extraction liquid; adjusting a pH of a process liquid containing copper and gallium to be not more than 3.5, or adjusting a pH by adding a concentrated acid to include an acid having initial concentration of 10N or higher to the process liquid; selectively removing gallium from a process liquid 104 containing copper and gallium by treating the process liquid 104 containing copper and gallium in one side of the liquid membrane disposed on the pore support material while using the dispersion back extraction liquid 102 on the other side of the liquid membrane disposed on the pore support member; and separating a part of or the whole dispersion back extraction liquid 102 into an organic phase and an aqueous phase back extraction liquid, wherein the separated water phase back extraction liquid contains a concentrated gallium solution.
