Abstract:

To provide a preferable apparatus for producing a plurality of three-dimensionally shaped articles.

The apparatus for producing the three-dimensionally shaped article includes repeating the steps of: (i) irradiating a predetermined part of a powder layer with a light beam and sintering or melting and solidifying the powder of the predetermined part to form a solidified layer; and (ii) forming a new powder layer on the obtained solidified layer and irradiating a predetermined part of the new powder layer with the light beam to further form a solidified layer thereon. The apparatus for producing the three-dimensionally shaped article further has a stacked-layer-forming unit at which the powder layer and the solidified layer are formed, and a laser irradiation device. The stacked-layer-forming unit is detachably attached to the laser irradiation device.
