To provide an image motion correction device, a method for the same, and an imaging apparatus which generate an image without blur by proper centering when blur of a moving image is corrected.

When correcting distortion of an image due to camera-shake after detecting, correcting a moving amount in horizontal, vertical, rotation and zoom directions of the image, the imaging apparatus 100 corrects the distortion by comparing a frame obtained by correcting a moving amount which can not be completely corrected due to the centering in four-directional correction with respect to a preceding frame with a subsequent frame obtained by correcting the moving amounts in four directions including the centering, without comparing the preceding frame with the subsequent frame obtained by correcting moving amounts in four directions including centering, so as not to cancel the centering in the past correction.
