To obtain an electronic apparatus for highly accurately detecting an abnormality in accordance with current consumption changing depending on the operation state of a device etc.

The electronic apparatus is provided with: a battery 11; a current detecting resistor 13 connected to an output terminal of the battery 11 and detecting the output current of the battery 11; a display section 7 operating on a power supply current supplied from the battery 11; a storage section 6 for storing a basic threshold not depending on the state of the display section 7 and a corrected threshold corresponding to the current consumption amount of the display section 7; a setting section 2a for adding the corrected threshold corresponding to the current consumption amount of the display section 7 to the basic threshold and setting a current threshold; and a control section 2 for controlling the operation of the display section 7 and determining the presence or absence of an abnormal current by using the detected current of the current detecting resistor 13 and the current threshold set by the setting section 2a.
