Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for fuel cell having a large contact area with a gas diffusion layer, and a polymer solid electrolyte fuel cell with the separator for fuel cell.SOLUTION: A polymer solid electrolyte fuel cell 100 comprises a separator 1 for fuel cell where a protrusion (preferably having the shape of triangular pyramid, square pyramid or hexagonal pyramid) is provided on the contact surface which comes into contact with the gas diffusion layer 2c of the polymer solid electrolyte fuel cell 100, and an electrolyte membrane electrode assembly 2 having a polymer solid electrolyte layer 2a, a catalyst layer 2b laminated on both sides of the polymer solid electrolyte layer 2a, and a gas diffusion layer 2c laminated on the surface of the catalyst layer 2b. The separator 1 for fuel cell is laminated on both surfaces of the electrolyte membrane electrode assembly 2.
