To provide carbon particles for a lithium-ion secondary battery anode of high capacity and excellent cycle characteristics, an anode for a lithium-ion secondary battery using the same, and a lithium-ion secondary battery.
The carbon particle used for the lithium-ion secondary battery anode is to have a roundness of a particle cross section of 0.6 to 0.9, an interlayer distance d (002) of graphite crystal found by X-ray diffraction measurement of 3.38 Å or less, and a crystallite size Lc (002) in a C-axis direction of 500 Å or more. As to a sample anode using the carbon particles, a peak intensity ratio Ih002/Ih110 of a carbon 002 face (a face horizontal to a graphite layer) to a carbon 110 face (a face vertical to a graphite layer) measured by the X-ray diffraction is to be 600 or less.
