Abstract:
To provide a method of surely and safely cleaning pollution (soil, ground water, etc.) contaminated by chemical substances such as organic chlorine compounds, by using persulfate and alkali agent.
In the method of cleaning chemical pollution by adding persulfate and alkali agent at original positions to the soil and ground water contaminated by chemical substances and thereby cleaning the soil and ground water, the persulfate is added so that its concentration in the reaction area is ≥5,000 mg/L and the alkali agent is added to the persulfate in the range of ≥0.4 and ≤2.0 in mole ratio so that the final pH in the reaction area is in the range of ≥5 and <10.
