Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption to a large degree by optimally controlling power supply to each ECU connected to a communication network.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device comprises: a transceiver/receiver 13 which converts a message of a differential signal received through a CAN bus Bc to a digital signal; a select circuit 14 which determines whether the converted message is a CAN format or a UART format and outputs a message to a UART circuit 15 when it is determined as the UART format; the UART circuit 15 which determines whether the message meets the UART format; and an ID determination circuit 16 which determines when it is determined that the message meets the UART format, whether the input message specifies a CAN ID of the ECU itself, and when it is determined that the message specifies the CAN ID of the ECU, outputs an enable signal EN to turn ON a regulator 4 and supply power to an MCU 5 and an actuator Ac.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
