Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for arbitrarily modifying a shape without a mechanism for pre-fetching which occupies a relatively large area in an image modification processing circuit.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus stores an input image as pixel blocks constituted of plural pixels, and obtains an instruction for modifying the input image. Where a rectangular region P of a predetermined size is formed in each pixel position in the input image, each rectangular region P, having an overlapping portion of a region modified by mapping (a region after mapping of interest) and a pixel block of interest in the input image, is defined to be in a position X in the input image. A pixel value at the position X on a modified image is calculated using a pixel value of a pixel in the pixel block as a mapping source of the region after mapping having the overlapping portion with the rectangular region P. After calculation, the pixel block of interest is deleted.
