Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device which prevents moisture permeation from the outside and can thereby obtain sufficient light-emitting characteristics and emission lifetime, a manufacturing method of the electro-optic device, and electronic equipment.SOLUTION: An EL display device 1 as an electro-optic device includes on a substrate first wiring, a first electrode, a partition having an opening for the first electrode, an organic function layer formed on the first electrode, a second electrode formed on the partition and the organic function layer, a connection part electrically connecting the second electrode and the first wiring, a buffer layer formed on the second electrode, and a gas barrier layer formed on the buffer layer. The second electrode has a first region covering the partition and a second region formed in the connection part, while the buffer layer has a first buffer layer covering the first region and a second buffer layer covering the second region. The first and second buffer layers are not contacted with each other.
