Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the rolling resistance performance while suppressing the deterioration of the noise performance by improving a profile of a belt layer.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 1 contains a carcass 6 extending from a tread part 2 to a bead core 5 of a bead portion 4 via sidewall portions 3, and a belt layer 7 made up of at least two belt plies 7A, 7B which are arranged on the outside in the tire radius direction of the carcass 6 and on the inside of a tread part 2. In a tire meridian cross section including a tire rotating shaft in a temporarily assembled state where the shaft is mounted on a normal rim and filled with 5% of normal internal pressure to be brought into a no-load state, a profile BP of the belt ply having the maximum width in a tire axial direction is recessed toward the inside in the tire radial direction and is formed in an arc shape having a curvature radius of 800-1,200 mm in a crown region Cr having 60% of a tread grounding width TW taking a tire equator C as a center.
