Abstract:
To provide a cis-aconitic acid decarboxylation enzyme, and to provide a gene encoding the cis-aconitic acid decarboxylation enzyme catalyzing from cis-aconitic acid to itaconic acid.
A protein comprises a specific amino acid sequence and having a cis-aconitic acid decarboxylation activity, a gene encodes the protein, a recombinant vector contains the gene, a microorganism transforms with the vector, and a method for produces itaconic acid with the microorganism or its preparation.
