Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a large area and a thin shape of a rectangular lens formed by a glass molding method in a focus detector.SOLUTION: The focus detector includes: a lens block 213 formed by a glass molding method; a device body 400 for positioning and holding the lens block; and a light receiving element 215 for converting an optical image formed by an image forming lens into an electric signal. The lens block includes a lens reference surface 306, first positioning surfaces 301L and 301R, second positioning surfaces 303L and 303R, and a first projected part 302 as a wall part of an outer periphery. The lens block further includes, in an area inside the outer peripheral part and adjacent to a boundary between the first positioning surface in the outer peripheral part and the first projected part in an optical axis direction, second projected parts 305L and 305R as wall parts projecting more in the optical axis direction than the lens reference surface.
