Abstract:
Each transport channel (100) periodically receives a transport block set from a higher level (102) with a number of blocks depending on the size of the blocks and on the transport channel. Transport channels with the same quality of service are processed by the same processing channels (103A,B,C) and, after channel encoding and interleaving, the blocks are multiplexed together by concatenation (104). Each processing process includes a rate matching step (112,114) to convert the block size according to the Eb/l ratio and the maximum puncture rate corresponding to the quality of service. Independent claims are included for a base station and a mobile station.
