To provide an inkjet recorder and a recording method by which recording is performed in appropriate ink ejection timing even when recording is performed with a plurality of kinds of inks.
In the inkjet recorder, the ink ejection timing of the ink ejected in going-direction scanning and that in returning-direction scanning are adjusted so that the center of gravity of density of dots recorded in the going-direction scanning and that in the returning-direction scanning can be aligned in a main scanning direction in each of the plurality of kinds of inks. The ink ejection timing of the ink ejected in the going-direction scanning and that in the returning-direction scanning are corrected so that the center of gravity of the density obtained by adjusting the dots recorded in the going-direction scanning and those in the returning-direction scanning can be aligned in the main scanning direction in each of the plurality of kinds of inks.
