Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lighting device which has a simple configuration, which enables a small number of LEDs to perform planar light emission, and which can easily obtain the quantity of light required for an object to be irradiated.SOLUTION: An LED lighting device includes a rectangular flat plate-shaped transparent material made of a transparent material, LEDs which are arranged in the state of facing side surfaces of the transparent material, respectively, and a reflection member which is arranged on one surface of the transparent material and which reflects light launched into the transparent material and emitted from the transparent material. The transparent material has a plurality of recesses on a light emission surface and a surface opposite to the light emission surface.
