Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor vessel structure capable of reducing thermal stress on a wall of the reactor vessel generated when reactor is started.SOLUTION: In a reactor vessel structure, a reactor vessel 10A containing a reactor core 11 is provided with an upper plenum 14 of a liquid surface structure where a space G filled with inert gas is formed above the liquid surface filled with a coolant liquid sodium Na. Inside of a furnace wall 10a of the upper plenum 14, an inner cylinder 20 with a bottom is formed up to a position higher than a coolant liquid level L3 during normal operation of the reactor, whereby a coolant reservoir 22 is formed between the furnace wall 10a and the inner cylinder 20, and a sodium replenish system 30 that supplies liquid sodium Na to the coolant reservoir 22 and collects liquid sodium Na from the upper plenum 14 is provided.
