Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous fixed bed catalyst reactor that includes an effective means for removing solid products generated and deposited in a large-size fixed bed catalyst layer; and to provide a catalyst reacting method for reforming a raw material gas, especially a tar-containing raw material gas with high efficiency by using the continuous fixed bed catalyst reactor.SOLUTION: A continuous fixed bed catalyst reactor 10 includes: an inflow path 20 for a raw material gas for catalyst reaction and an outflow path 21 for a reformed gas; and a catalyst reaction chamber 11 connected to the inflow path 20 and outflow path 21 and storing a catalyst, wherein the continuous fixed bed catalyst reactor further includes: a center bar that penetrates through a plurality of catalysts without degrading their mobility to form a catalyst row 13; a holding plate 12 for making the plurality of center bars stand upright; and a driving mechanism 15 for reciprocating the holding plate 12 in the catalyst reaction chamber 11.
