A display apparatus (1) includes: an image processor (12); a display unit (13); a remote controller (20) which includes a touch input unit (21) to detect motion of a user; a remote control signal receiver (15) which receives a remote control signal from the remote controller (20) corresponding to the motion of a user; and a controller (16) which displays the content information window (1315) as if the content information window (1315) enters from an outside of a display area to an inside of the display area in accordance with the motion that a user moves from an outside of an area of the touch input unit (21) to an inside of the area, or stops displaying the content information window (1315) as if the content information window (1315) exits from the inside of the display area to the outside of the display area in accordance with the motion that a user moves from the inside of the area of the touch input unit (21) to the outside of the touch input unit (21).
