Abstract:
Provided is a method for efficiently manufacturing a vegetable oil or fat from non-seed tissue of a plant while letting said plant continue photosynthesis. Said method is characterized in that a variant plant in which the biosynthesis of starch is inhibited is cultivated and a neutral lipid accumulated in non-seed tissue is collected.
