Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrode capable of improving capacity (Ah/cm) per unit area without reducing a capacity maintenance rate.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an electrode having a collector and an active material layer formed in a plurality of convex linear active material parts provided on the collector comprises the steps of: (1) manufacturing n test cells having a structure in which an electrode obtained by forming the plurality of substantially parallel convex linear active material parts having a width W and a height H(n is an integer of 2 or higher) at intervals S on a surface of the collector, a counter electrode, and an electrolyte layer are laminated; (2) measuring the capacity maintenance rates of the n test cells manufactured in the step (1) and determining the height of the linear active material part of the test cell having the highest capacity maintenance rate as an optimum height Hx; and (3) manufacturing an electrode by forming the plurality of substantially parallel convex linear active material parts having the width W and a height Hx on the surface of the collector.
