Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for detecting tsunami, addressing the problem that there is no accurate conventional tsunami detection method with excellent maintainability.SOLUTION: The method for detecting tsunami includes: measuring magnetic fields at a plurality of points on land; obtaining a difference signal of the magnetic fields of any one point and another point among them; obtaining an average value from a predetermined past to a current point of the difference signal; comparing the average value with a value of the difference signal of the current time; and, when the difference exceeds a predetermined value and continues for a predetermined time, determining that giant tsunami has occurred.
