Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of computation and overhead involved in optical correction without lowering the precision of optical correction.SOLUTION: The variation of optical parameters of an optical system due to the fact that the optical system is driven in the charge storage period of an image sensor is calculated (S503), and the number of the calculated optical parameters in the charge storage period is determined according to the variation (S504). Subsequently, the optical parameters are calculated at different times in the charge storage period, for the number of optical parameters thus determined (S507), the optical characteristics corresponding to each optical parameter thus calculated are acquired from an optical database (S508), a correction value is generated based on each optical characteristic thus acquired (S510), and an image signal is corrected using the correction value (S511).
