Abstract:
This glass composition for an electrode is characterized by containing silver, phosphorus and oxygen, and by essentially not containing lead and bismuth. Preferably, the glass composition for an electrode contains vanadium and tellurium. More preferably, the glass composition contains at least one metal element selected from among barium, tungsten, molybdenum, iron, manganese, and zinc. As a consequence, it is possible to provide a glass composition for an Ag, Al, or Cu electrode formed on electronic components and an electrode paste using the aforementioned glass composition, the glass composition being a glass composition that essentially does not contain lead and bismuth, which are harmful, and does not cause the properties of the electronic components to deteriorate.
