Abstract:

An objective of the present invention is to provide a power conversion device whereby it is possible, with a simple circuit configuration, to reduce a switching loss of a semiconductor switching element together with a surge voltage. A power conversion device according to the present invention connects a nonlinear capacitor, wherein static capacitance significantly increases when an electric field greater than or equal to a coercive electric field is imparted thereto, between an on/off control electrode and a high potential-side electrode of a switching device (see figure 1).
