Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flocculator management method that can reduce the replacement frequency of a bearing for supporting a rotary shaft.SOLUTION: The rotary shaft 5 includes a hollow part 52 extended along an axial direction, and the hollow part 52 is partitioned into a pair of liquid storage chambers 53, 53 arranged with a space along the axial direction to store liquid, a gas storage chamber 54 arranged between the pair of liquid storage chambers 53, 53 to store gas, and a pair of adjustment chambers 55, 55 arranged between the respective liquid storage chambers 53 and the gas storage chamber 54. A flocculator 1 is first operated in an upward load generating state of supplying the adjustment chambers 55, 55 with gas to apply an upward load F1 to the bearing 4, and when a bearing upper part 4a of the bearing 4 is worn, the upward load generating state is switched to a downward load generating state of supplying the adjustment chambers 55, 55 with liquid to apply a downward load to the bearing 4, thereby changing a portion to which a load is applied in the bearing 4.
