Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a life estimation device which can precisely estimate the remaining life of a power storage element.SOLUTION: A life estimation device 100 is designed to estimate the remaining life, i.e., the cumulative remaining usable period, of a power storage element 200. The life estimation device 100 comprises: a relational expression acquisition unit 110 which acquires a relational expression indicated by a function including a first term using an exponential function where the chargeable/dischargeable capacity of the power storage element 200 at a passage point of time of a cumulative use period, i.e., a cumulative value of use period, of the power storage element 200 has the cumulative use period multiplied by a positive first constant as a variable and a second term using a square root function with respect to the cumulative use period; and a remaining life estimation unit 120 which estimates the remaining life by using the acquired relational expression.
