PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery in which brazing filler metal bonding between an electrode plate and a collector member is performed at a number of points, and a manufacturing method of the battery.SOLUTION: A battery 1 including a metal foil 31 and an active material layer 39 comprises: an electrode plate 30 that includes a foil exposure end edge part 33 along a part of foil end edge 31X of the metal foil; and a collector member 10 that includes a defective part 15. In the electrode plate, an adjacent foil end edge 31E among the foil end edges of the metal foil, contacts a first principal surface 10A of the collector member and is disposed so that the posture is orthogonal to the first principal surface of the collector member. When a portion of the adjacent foil end edge of the electrode plate positioned within the defective part viewed from a second principal surface 10B side of the collector member in a first direction DG1 is set as a defective part foil end edge 31ES, a plurality of defective part foil end edges have brazing filler metal bonding with the collector member using brazing filler metal BR held within the defective part. The collector member includes a circumference extension part 16 that extends from a circumference 15E of the defective part through the first principal surface in the first direction. The circumference extension part includes an internal surface 16H having brazing filler metal bonding using the brazing filler metal and holds the brazing filler metal.
