Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which is reduced in power consumption during a power saving mode.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes a semiconductor memory that holds image data, a secondary battery that supplies power source to the semiconductor memory, a breaker that can switch between the cut-off and the switch-on of power supply from a commercial power source to the secondary battery, a charge amount detector that detects the charge amount of the secondary battery, and a first processor that operates in a first operational mode and stops operation during a second operational mode. The first processor periodically obtains the charge amount and switches the breaker depending on the charge amount in the first operational mode, and at the transfer to the second operational mode, switches the breaker based on the charge amount of the secondary battery and the state of the breaker.
