Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which aberration is successfully corrected at a bright F value exceeding F/2.0 so as to obtain a high imaging performance.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging optical system having a plurality of lenses, and an imaging surface which is provided in the vicinity of an imaging surface of the imaging optical system and is curved so that a concave surface thereof is directed toward an object side. The imaging optical system has an aperture diaphragm, a wavefront control element is disposed in the vicinity of the aperture diaphragm, a focal distance of the imaging optical system and a distance from an exit pupil of the imaging optical system to the imaging surface are set to be substantially the same, and a curvature radius of the imaging surface and the focal distance of the imaging optical system is set to be substantially the same.
