Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a distance image without limiting applications of an image processing apparatus, even when imaging means cannot adjust geometric positions of right and left view points.SOLUTION: A signal image circuit 104 obtains a parallax image according to the parallax amount of a plurality of images obtained by photographing a specific subject from view points different from each other. A system control circuit 107 obtains distance information indicating a distance from an imaging device to the specific subject. A signal processing circuit determines a translation movement amount that is the amount of movement of the projection center of one view point to the projection center of the other view point according to the parallax amount and distance information, and creates a distance image according to the parallax image and translation movement amount.
