Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid concentration detection device capable of correcting permittivity with a temperature of liquid and accurately detecting a concentration of a specific composition in the liquid as well as a liquid level when detecting a liquid level through capacitance.SOLUTION: When measuring an ethanol concentration in a tank 7, a temperature detection section 26, with a switch 27 turned on by a drive signal from a CPU 32, detects voltage between both ends of a thermistor 19 and calculates a fuel temperature T from a resistance value of the thermistor 19. A permittivity detection section 25 detects capacitance Cε with a permittivity sensor 18. A control section 30 obtains the ethanol concentration E from the capacitance Cε (permittivity ε) detected by the permittivity sensor 18 as well as the fuel temperature T detected by the thermistor 19 with reference to a table 33a.
