Abstract:
The present invention relates to a rolling device and a rolling method, capable of controlling a size or an output capability of a rotation driving unit; miniaturizing a device; and saving energy. The rolling device comprises: a shaft member (9, 9) of a rod shape installed in a delivery direction of a pipe material (S); a base plate unit (62) fitted inside by being hung on the shaft member (9, 9), wherein the base plate unit is able to move along the shaft member (9, 9); a chuck (65) maintaining the pipe material (S) by obtaining a repulsive force from the base plate unit (62) and axis-rotating the pipe material (S), wherein the chuck (65) enables the pipe material (S) to face a rolling area at the same time; a rotation driving unit (65) rotating by being fixated onto the base plate unit (62), and obtaining the repulsive force from the base plate unit (62) and axis-rotating the chuck (65) by rotation driving; and a power conversion unit (63, 63) obtaining the repulsive force from the shaft member (9, 9) by the rotation driving of the rotation driving unit (64), and converting the repulsive force into propulsion to move the base plate unit (62) along the shaft member (9, 9).
