Abstract:
This outdoor unit 1 for an air conditioner is provided with a plurality of fin-tube-type heat exchangers 6a, 6b, 6c in which a plurality of heat exchanger cores 12 comprising a plurality of heat-radiating fins 11 and a plurality of heat transfer tubes 10 that pass through the plurality of heat-radiating fins 11 and guide a refrigerant are superimposed in multiple rows, and a compressor 24. The plurality of fin-tube-type heat exchangers 6a, 6b, 6c are stacked in the vertical direction, and during a defrosting operation in which a high-temperature, high-pressure gas refrigerant is supplied to the plurality of fin-tube-type heat exchangers 6a, 6b, 6c by the compressor 24, the high-pressure gas refrigerant initially inflows to heat transfer tubes that, of the plurality of heat transfer tubes 10, are situated to the upwind side of contacting sections 11a of the plurality of fin-tube-type heat exchangers 6a, 6b, 6c.
