Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching hub in a network system capable of shortening the time required for a terminal search during subnet disconnection.SOLUTION: A switching hub comprises: a packet reception part for reporting reception packet information; a subnet disconnection detection part 431 including a reception packet recording part 432 for recording information of a VRRP (virtual router redundant protocol) advertisement packet of the reception packet information and a record monitoring part 433 for monitoring a record received by the reception packet recording part; a terminal search part 441 for searching a terminal device connected to the switching hub itself during disconnection of a subnet; and an information holding part 451 for holding registered IP addresses of terminal devices of the registered search objects. If the subnet disconnection detection part detects the disconnection within the subnet, an ARP request packet is transmitted to the registered IP addresses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
