Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section (3), a transferred member (61), a transferring member (71), and a separator (77, 79). The image forming section (3) forms a developer image by developing a developer. The transferred member (61) is conveyed in a first direction and the developer image is to be transferred on the transferred member. The transferring member (71) faces the transferred member (61), and makes a transition between a biasing state in which the transferred member (61) is biased by the transferring member (71) and a separated state in which the transferring member (71) is separated away from the transferred member (61). The separator (77, 79) separates, in the separated state, a medium (M) away from the transferred member (61), in which the medium (M) is held between the transferred member (61) and the transferring member (71) in the biasing state.
