Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium primary battery having high discharge capacity.SOLUTION: In a lithium primary battery 1, an electrode assembly 10 which is configured so that a sheet-like positive electrode 20 and a sheet-like negative electrode 30 are arranged to confront each other through a separator 40 is sealed together with nonaqueous organic electrolytic solution in an external package 11. The positive electrode is configured by coating, on the surface of a sheet-like collector 21, a positive electrode material 22 containing a positive electrode active material capable of occluding lithium ions. The negative electrode is configured by coating a negative electrode material 32 containing a carbon active material capable occluding and releasing lithium ions and silicon on one principal surface 34 side of the sheet-like collector 31 having holes penetrating to the front and back surfaces thereof, and pasting a negative electrode active material 33 containing lithium metal or lithium alloy on the other surface 35 side of the negative electrode collector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
