Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric conversion material which can increase a dimensionless performance index to such an extent that a thermoelectric conversion material has a practical thermoelectric conversion property by reducing the thermal conductivity.SOLUTION: Thermoelectric conversion materials 11, 12 comprise Mn and Si, and are expressed by the following composition formula: MnSi. In the composition formula, the following conditions are satisfied: 0.90≤X≤1.10; and 0.75≤Y≤5.70. The thermoelectric conversion materials 11, 12 have organization structures including amorphous phases. The organization structures of the thermoelectric conversion materials 11, 12 may further include a nanocrystal phase composed of crystal of 25 nm or less in grain diameter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
