Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston seal member capable of reducing environmental load and having excellent high-temperature characteristic and durability, and a disc brake using the piston seal member.SOLUTION: A piston seal member 8 liquid-tightly and slidably holds a cylinder hole 6a and a piston 5 sliding in the cylinder hole 6a. The piston seal member 8 is composed of a rubber composition including 0.1 pts.mass-60 pts.mass of at least one of oxidized cellulose fiber and cellulose nanofiber to 100 pts.mass of rubber. The rubber includes at least one of ethylene-propylene rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber. An average value of a fiber diameter of the oxidized cellulose fibber is 10 μm-30 μm. An average value of a fiber diameter of the cellulose nanofiber is 1 nm-200 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
