PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep power consumption down by restraining a base station from performing communication by wastefully using a plurality of frequency bands at the same time.SOLUTION: A base station capable of communication connection with a terminal device by simultaneously using a plurality of frequency bands comprises: an acquisition unit that acquires terminal resource information indicating the size of communication resources required for communication by the terminal device; and a control unit that controls how many frequency bands the base station uses at the same time to perform communication connection on the basis of the terminal resource information acquired by the acquisition unit and information indicating the size of communication resources allocatable to communication in frequency bands used for communication.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
