Abstract:
A solid-state imaging device 1 includes a photodetecting unit 10 and a signal readout unit 20, and further includes a control unit 30 controlling an operation of each of the photodetecting unit 10 and the signal readout unit 20. The photodetecting unit 10 includes M×N pixels P 1,1 to P M,N on a first principal surface of a semiconductor substrate having the first principal surface and a second principal surface opposite to each other. Each pixel P m,n includes a plurality of buried photodiodes PD, a capacitance portion C 1 , a plurality of transfer switches SW 1 , and an output switch SW 2 . Thereby, a solid-state imaging device which can shorten a charge readout time from a junction capacitance portion of a photodiode of each pixel and which has an excellent S/N ratio and linearity in light detection is realized.
