Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for an operation to confirm specific information on an apparatus by a user and manual input of inspection items by a user, thereby improving work efficiency.SOLUTION: Provided is a character recognition device comprising: a storage unit for storing a recognition dictionary in which a plurality of groups including a plurality of items to recognize characters, an order of recognition within a group of the plurality of items included in the group, and information used in the character recognition of each item are registered; and a processor. The items registered in the recognition dictionary include a plurality of first items and a plurality of second items, a first item being the item that appears first in the order of recognition within a group, at least one second item being associated with the first item. The processor recognizes the character of a first item from an inputted image on the basis of information used for recognizing the characters of the first items of the plurality of groups registered in the recognition dictionary, specifies a second item to recognize a character next from a second item associated with the first item of the recognized character, and recognizes the character of the second item from the inputted image on the basis of information used for recognizing the character of the specified second item, the information being read out from the recognition dictionary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
