Abstract:
To provide a mechanism that, when an image of a document photographed by a portable terminal cannot be recognized as characters, can cause an image processing apparatus to easily read the photographed document to provide result of character recognition.SOLUTION: An image management server receives an image of a document photographed by a portable terminal and further performs character recognition processing on the received image to read data described on the document and register the data in a business system. When the character recognition processing on the document is not satisfactorily performed and the image is unclear, the image management server issues a scan ticket set with high-resolution scanning to an image processing apparatus, receives again image data of the document scanned by the image processing apparatus with the scan ticket, and performs character recognition processing to enable registration of the image data in the business system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
