Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for producing magnetic fine particles each having a smooth surface.SOLUTION: Magnetic fine particles are obtained by a wet method using an aqueous solution with magnetic substances uniformly dispersed therein (including those in a colloidal dispersion state), an organic solvent and so forth. With the use of the organic solvent (a hydrophilic organic solvent such as ethanol), the magnetic fine particles are washed by applying supersonic waves. In this way, surface irregularities on the magnetic fine particles are removed so that their surfaces may become smooth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
