Abstract:
A lipid production method whereby a transformant promoting the appearance of genes coding proteins (A) or (B) is cultivated and a fatty acid or a lipid having same as a structural component thereof is produced. (A) A protein comprising an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1. (B) A protein having acyltransferase activity and comprising an amino acid sequence being at least 44% identical to the amino acid sequence of protein (A).
