Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate movement restricting device capable of stably holding a glass plate, and a method of manufacturing a glass article.SOLUTION: The glass plate movement restricting device 71 restricts the movement of a glass plate G when the glass plate G is held in a holder main body 21. The holder main body 21 is provided with a slot S into which the glass plate G can be inserted. The glass plate movement restricting device 71 includes a regulating member 61 that regulates the movement of the glass plate G inserted into the slot S of the holder main body 21. The regulating member 61 can be driven in a vertical direction D1 along a main surface of the glass plate G and in a horizontal direction D2 along a thickness direction of the glass plate G, and is configured to be displaceable to both a regulating position at which the movement of the glass plate G inserted into the slot S can be regulated and a non-regulating position at which the glass plate G can be inserted into or removed from the slot. The glass plate movement restricting device 71 includes a driving unit to displace the regulating member 61 to both positions by driving it in the vertical direction D1 and the horizontal direction D2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
