Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire the feature amount that makes a recognition object recognizable when the recognition object has the same shape as that of a comparison object despite a different size from that of the comparison object.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus extracts outline points Pto Pfrom the contour (outline) 100 of an object and arranges coordinates along the contour. The image processing apparatus divides the arranged coordinates into two with a straight line 101, calculates the lengths of line segments L, L, L, and Lbeing the distances between corresponding coordinates, and creates arrangement of distance data (length of L, length of L, length of L, and length of L).
