Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device for vehicle supporting safe driving of a driver, by preventing attention power of the driver from lowering when displaying an image, captured by means of a camera of wide-angle lens, to the driver.SOLUTION: An image display device for vehicle mounted on a vehicle 2, and supporting driving of a driver has side cameras 7, 9 installed on the outer side of a vehicle while directing outside direction, and imaging the side of the vehicle via a wide-angle lens, a processing section for generating a plane image by correcting a wide-angle image captured by the side cameras, and generating a processed image by processing the plane image, and a display for displaying the image, transmitted from the processing section, on a screen. The plane image includes the image of a track surface part A on the moving sections 53, 55 where a vehicle of set vehicle velocity can run until stopping, and the image of peripheral track surface part B on the outside of the moving sections. The processing section generates a processed image by executing the processing for the plane image so that at least a part of the image of the peripheral track surface part is not included.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
