Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give flexibility to the stated contents of an inquiring statement and to make an inquiry about the column to be acquired of a table in RDBMS.SOLUTION: A rewriting device is equipped with an extension accepting unit that accepts an extension inquiry statement containing a column condition sentence to designate a column to be acquired by using a hierarchical structure among columns of a table, a column hierarchical structure storing unit that stores column names of the table and hierarchical structure information indicating the hierarchical structure among the columns, and a rewriting unit that extracts a column name that fits the column condition sentence on the basis of the column names and the hierarchical structure information in the column hierarchical structure storing unit and outputs a column indicating sentence using the extracted column name resulting from replacement of the column condition sentence of the extension inquiry statement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
